Missing Person: Ernest John Schmidt, Male, Native Place: Florida, Date of Birth: 07/03/1940, The Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking the whereabouts of Ernest Schmidt. He was last seen by his wife on Sunday, June 3, 2007, at 3:30 p.m., on the beach in the vicinity of Mary Street. The victim walked away from his wife northbound on the beach when they got into a disagreement. The victim’s wife reported the disappearance to the Sheriff’s Office shortly after 5:00 p.m. Deputies issued a B.O.L.O. for the subject and notified the St. Augustine Beach Police and the Anastasia State Park.The victim is described as a White male, 66 years of age, he is 5'8" tall, and weighs 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue and white bathing suit with flowers and no shirt. He did not have a wallet or cell phone in his possession.
